Altec has developed a robotic strip stacking solution that requires less structure and has a lower cost than a traditional strip stacker.

Our Altec system is designed to optimize your space utilization, taking up less floor space than a traditional strip stacker, while ensuring a simpler and more reliable mechanical system.

Additional features of our custom robotic stacking system are:

• There is automatic skew correction with no need for an operator.
• It automatically identifies trash, increasing efficiency because trash is not handled and simply ends up on the haul-back conveyor.
• Significant labour savings are achieved. The Altec system allows the people responsible for pulling veneer strips to be repurposed in the mill or removed entirely, reducing overhead costs.
• It automatically sorts material based on grade or moisture.
